Monumental Fashion - 2011 Spring/Summer Collection Inspired by Iconic Landmarks

Published exclusively in this site on 17 May 2011.

Usually, when I flip through fashion magazines, I always wonder where the designers find their endless inspirations. Perhaps, it might just be from some of the world's most distinguished attractions?

Atsuro Tayama's white ruffled dress is incredibly symmetrical, and might just be the fashion version of the Taj Mahal.

Edinburgh Castle, sitting on a volcano, is mystical and exotic, reminding us about the Knights of the Round Table, one of the most famous legends of the British Isles. Flik Flak's brightly coloured Castles and Dragons watch reflects just that.

Armani Exchange's one piece gold swimwear takes you back to ancient Egypt, where most of their decors, like the Great Sphinx of Giza, are dazzling and magnificent.

Guess' white halter dress from their Spring 2011 collection leans on one side, much like the Tower of Pisa.

Gaudi's Casa MilĂ  is wavy and filled with texture, much like George Jensen's fusion bangle, mixing yellow, white and red gold together to create a swirl.
