Get a kick in Islamic/Malay/Chinese/Indian cultures
Some would say Hong Kong is a cultural melting pot, but the truth is we don’t blend the different customs together all that well. In Kuala Lumpur, their lives really do merge, and you can see how their languages, lifestyles, and societies weave together. Perhaps that might just be why it is one of those cities with the most variety of temples lying around.
SLEEP Hotel Maya
As a luxurious boutique resort at the heart of KLCC, it has spacious rooms and spa that will transport you right to the exotic realms. They provide complimentary round the clock butler service, who is there to press your clothes, prepare your drinks, and serve you with fresh fruits.
EAT Coliseum Cafe
A quaint reminder of Kuala Lumpur's colonial past, serving western cuisine with a Malaysian twist. I would say it is along the lines of Queen’s CafĂ© in Hong Kong.
TEA Royal Selangor Club
Situated across the Old City Hall, it has an unassuming bar and restaurant overlooking Dataran Merdeka's vast meadows. The club only serves its members, but it has a long list of affiliated clubs around the world, so check with your local club for a recommendation letter.
SHOP Eclipse
Located conveniently in Suria KLCC next to the twin towers, it is an indigenous brand that carries classic dressy pieces at affordable prices. Remember to go to the reception counter and get a tourist pass for extra discounts!
DINE Madam Kwan
Perhaps one of the favourite restaurants among the locals, it is packed pretty much anytime you drop by. But as the best place to go for a hearty meal with contemporary Malay food, it is well worth the wait.
