One event that I have been absolutely longing for is the Business of Design Week, which is Asia's largest design event, featuring more than just mere fashion. They will be hosting dialogues through an unique blend of forums, seminars, exhibitions and outreach programmes throughout the coming week.
Obviously if you are a fashion junkie you should be attending the expo, but if you are a design freak of any other sort, you should really be going too. Their flagship programme, Detour, has partnered up with Germany to showcase Hong Kong's unique designs abroad. Hong Kong's local designers have setup workshops and installations with a Hong Kong twist in Germany, cluing them in to what our little city is capable of.
One of the features in their exhibition that I absolutely adore is by Anna Garforth, who experiments with a diverse range of materials in order to create unique artworks. Look at how she moulds moss into beautiful calligraphy! Isn't that just so cool?

The Chinese Timekeeper and Eva's favourite microfinance charity, Wokai, are jointly throwing a party at Hush from 7:00pm to 9:00pm on Wednesday, 7 December 2011. The attraction for the evening, other than the open bar, will be ogling through their watch collection as well as getting to meet their founder, Adrien Choux. What's more? 50% of the proceeds for the evening will go to Wokai, so it is more like donating than mere shopping. Contact them for more details!
