It seems like there are just way more art events than we can ever imagine, which are spreading towards the New Territories. Now is probably a good time to explore neighbourhoods like Fo Tan and Tsuen Wan, which are places that you have seen on the MTR route map, but never thought of setting foot in.

Wang Nan-fei is largely affected by the contradictions surrounding her in the urban atmosphere of Beijing and the United States, which resulted in her collection of works presented at her solo exhibition's opening reception next Thursday evening, 20 October 2011, at Art Experience Gallery. She expresses herself through sculpture and oil painting, unveiling the thoughts of isolated individuals in a metropolis, which is rather intriguing.

Have you ever thought that the news we watch are actually choreographed? Mok Wai-hong attempts to explore this concept in his latest solo exhibition at Schoeni Main Art Gallery, which will be hosting the opening reception on next Thursday, 20 October 2011. This exhibition demonstrates his exceptional cultural sensitivity as a Hong Kong-born artist, challenging the media's influence and their excessive display of graphical information. People are now trained on grasping dramatic photos rather than reading the mundane texts. In catering for such, is news being dramatised? Nowadays with the development of advanced digital technology, it is almost impossible to tell whether the images are fakes or not. The artist attempts to illustrate this point with his oil painting techniques.
