After the Mexican Film Festival in May 2011, the agnès b. Cinema in the Hong Kong Arts Centre will be hosting another week of foreign films, this time Polish. Organised by the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland, the series is free on a first come first serve basis, starting 7:30pm everyday this week.
I am particularly interested in Mall Girls, which is to be shown on the coming Wednesday. It looks like the Polish version of Girl$, where a newbie joins the gang in meeting the potential “sponsors” at an upscale mall. So it seems like adolescent issues are generally the same cross-culturally. Take a look at the trailer and see if you would fancy dropping by on the day!
