I know just how far Fo Tan sounds, but trust me, they are rather civilised over there as well, so drop by Blue Lotus Gallery and Consultancy for their latest exhibition, Beyond Walls, and head over to the New Town Plaza for a comprehensive dining and shopping experience you would never have imagined!
The exhibition, as it is called Beyond Walls, can be expected to display artworks that aren't the conventional painting. Artists usually thrive in producing a huge public installation piece catered for a specific site, so in this presentation, they highlight specific public art projects, which are so different from your usual art gallery displays.
The artists participating in this event are Cornelia Erdmann, Lynn Basa, Wong Tin Yan, Simone Boon, and Silvia Chan. I have seen Wong Tin Yan's work before at the Swank's 2011 S/S Fashion Show, and his signature wooden sculptures surely blended in with the atmosphere fairly well. He has also worked with Sportmax, Louis Vuitton, and Muji in co-hosting solo exhibitions. Take a look at how he has converted Lee's Beijing flagship store with his own funky vision!
Lynn Basa, on the other hand, is a Chicago-based sculptor who is specially introduced in Hong Kong for her debut exhibition. As you head back out to the island, why not drop by the Hong Kong Science Park for some horizontal biking, and head over to Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Sha Tin Hotel for a mouthwatering dim sum buffet?
