Mother Nature's Touch - Sheraton Hotel Art Project 2011

Published exclusively in this site on 26 August 2011.

Touch of Nature by Sheraton is part of an ongoing project that aims to give adolescents from all walks of life an artistic experience in making forms like masks, decoupages, and sculptures. They are joined by local artists and Sheraton's volunteers in learning the production process as well as enjoying their time together.

The theme of this summer's artistic workshops is on nature, and screen-printer Castaly Leung have led the participants to appreciate our environment through a series of artistic exercises. They were taken around Hong Kong Park to observe the natural environment first hand, and then used different screen-printing techniques to create a representation of what they saw.

Sounds interesting? Their work will be on display in Cultural Centre and Sheraton respectively throughout autumn, so jot down the dates and drop by when you are in the neighbourhood.
