Back to the Basics - Swan Lake

Published exclusively in this site on 5 August 2011.

After all that raving about Black Swan, now is a good time to refresh our memories of the original Swan Lake with the Hong Kong Ballet, one of the best classical ballet companies in Asia. Hong Kong Ballet's Principal Dancer Jin Yao and Australian Ballet's Principal Artist Robert Curran will be accompanied by the Hong Kong Sinfonietta to deliver a choreography, an orchestra, and a set that would make Tchaikovsky proud.

Sean Lee Davies, a celebrated photographer, was invited to capture priceless moments of the Swan Lake in making, and his photos of such will be exhibited on the Ground Floor Foyer of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre from now until 15 August 2011. For those of you who love to see the backstage magic, this is a display not to be missed.

Want to learn more about the ballet? The Pre-Performance Talk will be held at 6:55pm on 19 August 2011 at the Level 2 Foyer, Hong Kong Cultural Centre. A Pre-Performance Workshop, on the other hand, will be at GR2, 8/F, Grand Theatre Backstage, Hong Kong Cultural Centre on 20 August 2011. Reserve your seat, and get more out of the performance!

Now after all that prep work, it is your turn to spot the Odette from the Odile! Get your tickets now!
