Where did you go last Saturday night? Jasmine, Jessie, Jerome and I were all set for a great night out at the full moon party with the W hotel. As Jessie would put it, this is the classier version of the actual full moon party in Thailand, and boy were we in for a real treat.
When we got to the check in counter, all we could see was the shopping area. There were some amazingly soft resort wear by Senses which we couldn't wait to try on, and the bags and clutches from Sabrina Scala were so beautiful yet practical it was impossible for me to resist. The swimsuits from Muyumy were rather unique as well, and Jessie loved the one piece with a cut out in it. I most definitely won't tell you just how much retail therapy I have indulged myself in that night.
After spending quite a while checking in (Read: shopping), we finally got to the party. Unfortunately, just like last year, the pool side party was switched to an indoor venue because of the rain, so we didn't get to see the pool. But like last year again, there were several fit boys and girls in their swimwear feeding us freezing cold vodka, so what's not to like?
After a bit of mingling and watching a fantastic belly dancing performance, the much anticipated fashion show started, featuring the latest collections from the three brands I had a shopping spree on earlier that evening. The runway was completely packed, and everyone was dying to take a good look at the pieces each designer had to show.
The next Saturday pool party will be on 27 August 2011, so mark your diaries now and reserve a table with W Hotel here. Hopefully the rainy days will go away and we will be at the poolside by then!
