Living like Italians - The Swank 2011 Spring/Summer Fashion Show

First Published in Lifestyle Asia on 21 March 2011.

Italy is synonymous for amazing food, amazing art, and amazing fashion. This is why the Swank, together with the Italian Trade Commission, brought together a great party filled with all three factors on Friday, 18 March 2011. The light drizzle didn't deter the hardcore fashion fans, and there was a huge crowd that turned up for the party at Artistree in Taikoo Place that night.

Unlike usual fashion shows, this one is filled with Italy inspired art pieces. My fellow fashionista, Jenny, and I love the piece so much we can't stop looking at it in awe. It looks like the moon hanging in the sky, which coincidentally collides with one of the themes of the catwalk - Moon River.

They also had showcases of many luxury items. I must admit to be a bit of a bag lady, being particularly keen on Zagliani's exquisite crocodile bag and Roberto Cavalli's evening clutches.

The party was fantastic, and everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly. The catwalk was so meticulously constructed that many of the guests had to have a photo on it.

The show started with mystical music in the background. The clothes were impeccable and rest assured there is something for the men as well.

Everybody loved the Fashion Dictionary they were giving out. Jenny and I just can't wait to start reading it!
